About the Journal

The London Journal of Language, Literature and Education: Global and Multilingual Perspectives is an international, peer-reviewed scholarly journal of the London Academy for Global Advancement (LAGA), United Kingdom, published by Wenjibra University Press.

The journal publishes original and rigorous scholarship on language, applied linguistics, literature, comparative literature, translation, literacy, and their teaching and learning in multilingual, intercultural, and global contexts. It provides a forum for researchers, educators, literary scholars, linguists, translators, and practitioners to engage with questions concerning language, texts, culture, identity, communication, and education across geographical and disciplinary boundaries.

Aims and Scope

The journal aims to advance scholarly understanding of the relationships among language, literature, translation, literacy, culture, and education. It welcomes theoretical, empirical, comparative, interdisciplinary, and research-informed pedagogical contributions in the following areas:

  • Language studies, applied linguistics, and sociolinguistics
  • Multilingualism, language variation, and language policy
  • Discourse, communication, identity, and intercultural studies
  • Literature, literary theory, and cultural studies
  • Comparative, world, postcolonial, and diasporic literature
  • Translation and interpreting studies
  • Literary translation and the circulation of texts across languages and cultures
  • Language acquisition, literacy, and language education
  • The teaching and learning of language, literature, and translation
  • Digital language, literature, and translation
  • Responsible applications of artificial intelligence in language, literature, translation, and related education
  • Oral traditions, indigenous knowledge, and historically underrepresented languages, literatures, and communities

The journal welcomes scholarship from all regions of the world. It has a particular interest in research involving Britain, the Caribbean, Africa, the Commonwealth, their diasporas, and other multilingual and historically underrepresented communities. This emphasis is inclusive rather than exclusive. Submissions are evaluated according to their scholarly quality, originality, and relevance to the journal's aims and scope, irrespective of the authors' nationality, country of residence, or institutional affiliation.

Educational research submitted to the journal must have a substantive connection to language, literacy, literature, translation, culture, or intercultural communication. General studies of educational administration, leadership, finance, or technology that do not establish such a connection fall outside the journal's scope.

Comparative and interdisciplinary submissions are welcomed where the relationship among the relevant disciplines, languages, literatures, cultures, or educational contexts is clearly established.
